O Centro de Filosofia das Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (CFCUL) está interessado em avaliar propostas de candidaturas ao concurso para Atribuição de Bolsas de Investigação para Doutoramento – 2022, promovido pela Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).
O concurso estará aberto de 8 março a 7 de abril de 2022 às 17:00 (hora de Lisboa) e terá de conter, entre outros, os seguintes elementos:
- Plano de investigação detalhado
- Curriculum Vitae (na plataforma CIÊNCIAVITAE)
- Carta de motivação
- Duas carta de recomendação
- No caso de graus académicos atribuídos por instituições de ensino superior estrangeiras, reconhecimento desses graus e a conversão da respetiva classificação final para a escala de classificação portuguesa.(*)(**)
Neste âmbito, o CFCUL convida todos os interessados em desenvolver o seu plano de investigação tendo o CFCUL como Instituição de Acolhimento a manifestar o seu interesse até ao dia 21 de março de 2021 através do e-mail cdlisboa@fc.ul.pt, com o Assunto: FCT BID 2022 + [o nome do candidato], enviando os seguintes elementos, em inglês ou português:
- Plano de Investigação
- Curriculum Vitae em PDF
- Nome do orientador com quem pretendem trabalhar.
O CFCUL está interessado em receber candidatos com grande potencial em todas as áreas da Filosofia das Ciências.
(*) O reconhecimento de graus académicos e diplomas estrangeiros bem como a conversão da classificação final para a escala de classificação portuguesa pode ser requerido em qualquer instituição de ensino superior pública, ou na Direção-Geral do Ensino Superior (DGES). (**) A candidatura pode ser submetida mesmo não incluindo o reconhecimento de graus académicos e diplomas estrangeiros bem como a conversão da classificação final para a escala de classificação portuguesa. Contudo, segundo quanto estabelecido no Aviso de Abertura do Concurso, a falta destes documento leva a uma penalização na avaliação.

FCT Individual Call for PhD Research Scholarships 2022
The Centre for Philosophy of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (CFCUL) (Lisbon, Portugal) welcomes expression of interest by prospective candidates interested in applying for a PhD grant (up to 4 years) funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) under the Individual Call for PhD Research Scholarships [+info].
The FCT will accept applications between 8 March and 7 April 2022 (17:00 Lisbon Time). Candidates will apply online directly to the FCT, but the application must be supported by a host institution and a supervisor working at a Portuguese university.
The application to FCT, written in English or Portuguese, must include, among others, the following elements:
• Detailed research plan
• Curriculum vitae (CIENCIAVITAE Platform)
• Motivation letter
• Two recommendation letters
• In case of foreign academic degrees, Portuguese recognition of such degree(s) and conversion of the final grade(s) to the Portuguese grading scale (*)(**)
CFCUL is interested in hosting top doctoral students in a wide range of areas in Philosophy of Science.
Prospective candidates are invited to contact the Direction of CFCUL as soon as possible and no later than 21 March 2022 sending an e-mail in English or Portuguese to cdlisboa@fc.ul.pt, with the Subject: FCT BID 2022 + [your name], including:
• CV in PDF (please notice that for application purposes you’ll have to use the CV platform CIENCIAVITAE)
• Summary of the Research Plan
• Name of the supervisor you would like to work with.
(*) The recognition of foreign academic degrees and diplomas, and the conversion of the respective final grade to the Portuguese grading scale, can be issued by a Portuguese public higher education institution, or by the Directorate General for Higher Education (DGES). Please visit the DGES portal at https://www.dges.gov.pt/en/pagina/degree-and-diploma-recognition. The process might be lengthy, especially under the current pandemic situation, therefore we recommend that it is started as soon as possible.
(**) Candidates can apply without including in the submission the recognition of foreign academic degrees and diplomas, and the conversion of the respective final grade to the Portuguese grading scale. However, according to what is stipulated in the Notice of the Call, this will imply a penalization in the evaluation of the candidate’s academic career.
