Abstract
I discuss the modal implications of the tripartite conception of objective probability that I have defended in past work, focusing on the generation of outcome spaces and the ascription of probability distribution functions over such spaces. Nota biográfica
Mauricio Suárez is a professor in Logic and Philosophy of Science at Complutense University of Madrid. He previously taught at Oxford, St Andrews, Northwestern, and Bristol Universities and has held visiting appointments at Sydney, Harvard, London, Paris 1 (Pantheon-Sorbonne), and Vienna Universities. He has published over 100 papers in his speciality, edited or co-edited four books for Routledge and Springer, and his latest authored book is entitled ‘Inference and Representation’, forthcoming with The University of Chicago Press.
