Resumo:

Platforms of prompt – that may use text generation algorithms and oracles, such as GPT-3, convey problems of the digital, such as the pre-selection problem in between selective sets of possibilities to select from in supposedly creative or elective situations. Its applied algorithmic attentional models pose questions of authorship , inherent difficulties of recommendation systems, or plagiarism, among others. The ethical issue sees it would be in the moment that GPT-3 or similar algorithmic applications of large language models would be granted copyright protection for its actions of a combination of other´s thoughts and publicly funded published research and large corpora of text samples and how it manages the complexity of its resources, thus “capturing value” by GPT-3 from plural and historical, collective human creativity efforts.
Beyond the classical debate on Boden´s often cited creativity account, this paper focuses on algorithmic and artificial creativity by reflecting strategic dramaturgies of antagonistic AI reckoning Games and Algorithmic aesthetics of digital literature works produced substantially by computers, algorithms, or neural networks to confront the challenge that artificial intelligence and machine learning pose for literary writing in what is called “automatization of writing” or: let IT write. The platform power of automatically taking possession/control of the writing graph of automatized writing has to be reflected seriously as it has a real-world impact on human creativity, (crowd) authorship, and platforming of language-based social value creation: since the automatization of language text translation ( e.g., GoogleTranslate; DeepL) in the field of personal communication and writing tools that automatize error correction and tend to prompt/recommend not only singular sentences (cf. Grammarly), but enter argumentation games (IBM), and since OpenAI , an AI research and deployment company, introduced its groundbreaking GPT-3 (now as well Dall-E2) natural language model platform in Microsoft products will have to be confronted even more with the societal, aesthetic, political and creative responsibility and impact of what it means if we let IT write.
